Modern Electric Water Company
It was time for Modern Electric Water Company to bring it all together. They had
operations in four different buildings and wanted to consolidate.
Now their new building houses the technical and support operation, administrative
offices, and boardroom. And it is not just limited to business; the boardroom is
often used for community activities and the structure itself can serve as a shelter
in times of disaster.
In addition to the building's usefulness, it is also a model of energy conservation.
The all-electrically powered structure makes good use of natural light, sunscreens,
and "cool day lighting" techniques. These measures are so effective that
the building has won awards for energy efficiency and natural daylight.
